Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Work Setting: Landscape contractor

Type of Machinery or Equipment: Tractor mower, Sod cutter, Weed trimmer/edger, Roto-tiller, Fork-lift, Tractor, Gravel or dump truck, Pick-up truck, Small engine equipment

Specific Skills: Assist with landscape constructions, Weed, prune and trim trees and plants, Cart and spread topsoil and other materials, Lay sod or seed, Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, Apply fertilizers, Water lawns/gardens, Construct walkways and driveways

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle, Public transportation is not available

Work Location Information: Urban area
